Nos exact rules for this draft? Pre-1990, 22 players (11 defense, 11 offense) No players eligible if they played in 1990 or after. How do you like these rules?
I have a couple of suggestions on the draft. One, I think we should go with guys we might have actually seen play. I'm, 42, the first game I ever watched was the Cowboys/Bronco's Super Bowl(Dad hooked me early). From around Doomsday and the Steel Curtain on, I can actually speak from which I know. We can go by age, Super Bowl era or even all time, since there is video available, but if we go All Time, I think all older players should be valued for what they did against their peers, instead of what they would do against players from today who have modern advantages. Randy White played at 275, and benched 500 with a sub 5.0 40 at DT. He was a workout freak. If he were in his prime today, with his work ethic, and all the supplements and Tech, he would probably weigh 310 and bench 600 with a 4.7 40. If you pick a 10 time Pro Bowler from 1980, he should count the same as a 10 time Pro Bowler today
The main reason I wanted to do pre 1990 is so there would be no players of yesterday would stand no chance in todays game. So I think we are on the same page there.
lolzzz I just PM'd you 500... Just wanted to make sure you are in...
Yes and that is a good name for the rule!![]()
players who played in 80s n 90s are still eligible for my understanding?
