I don't even know how they could even predict who and what position the Rams are taking. Seems a little premature tbh.

#8 Cyrus Kouandjio OT Bama
#11 Ha-Ha Clinton Dix S Bama
2nd Bishop Sankey RB Washington
3rd Wayne Lyons CB Stanford
4th Jeremiah Attochu OLB Ga Tech
5th Gabe Ikard OG Oklahoma
6th Matt Hall OT Belhaven
7th Ryan Hewitt FB Stanford
7th Kenny Guiton QB Ohio St

According to this mock, Watkins is chose at #10 but we pass on Evans or Marquise Lee to take Dix. I only take Dix if all three of those WR are gone by the time our second pick comes around.
In round 2, Murray, McCarron and Mettenberger were all still available. I like Sankey, but not 2nd round like.
In round 3, i think this is where we look at DT. Timmy Jernigan from FSU or Dominique Easley from FLA
In round 4, I think we could get the steal of the draft here. I have watched Lindenwood University play and Pierre Desir is the REAL DEAL. He can play safety or corner and play them at a high level.
Like the OG pick in round 5...a few good ones to choose from
I say go safety again in round 6 and not OT... either Ty Zimmerman or Marquis Flowers
I like the 7th round ideas, but instead of Guiton (since I proposed QB in round 2) I would look at Prince Shembo, OLB from Notre Dame...

Washington is tanking. Who knows we may get a top 3-4 pick. We need Houston and Atlanta to win a few games!

Still way too early.

5th Davante Parker WR Louisville
6th Kanarious Gates OT Georgia
7th Alfred Blue RB LSU

My thoughts on this:
I think that the more Washington loses, the higher probability that we choose a QB in the 1st, although I still think the guy for this team is someone like Stephen Morris (incidently Brett Hundley is a 1st round version of Morris). If we stay this route, they need to go QB in the 2nd and not DT, especially if they project Easley in the 4th. As much as I want an OT out of the first 2 picks, it may be too hard to pass up a combo of say Hundley and Evans and then look at OT in round 2 with someone like Brandon Scherff or Lael Collins.

what do you not like brother retro?? Scherff is a corn fed Iowa boy who is FLYING up the draft board and might not even be there in the 2nd. Obviously, if they stick with Bradford, I will be wrong but I still think they draft a QB in rounds 3-5... we shall see

Personally I cant see a reason to waste a first round pick on a QB. Hell it's not even a decent draft for qb's anyway. Can easily try and find one in the 4-6 round.

If the Skins tank then I would like to see Jake Mathews or best available OT/OG. For our pick I wouldn't be against getting another play maker at WR(Watkins,Lee,Evans) or best Secondary player available. I really felt like going into this season that the talent was there. Maybe it was to premature and they needed to grow a bit but I can definitely see huge improvement on both sides which is awesome to see.

Also, I hope to God we do not draft gabe Ikard. The dude is injury prone and will be just another Saffold. He's talented yes but not worth an early pick.

Not a good QB draft?? Are you serious?? Bridgewater,Marriota,Manziel,Hundley,Boyd,McCarron,Murray,Mettenburger,Carr and maybe a few others will be gone before the end of round 3. If we let Bradford walk, we MUST draft a QB no later than the 3rd round if we intend on making him the starter. Obviously if Bradford stays and restructures his deal, we look at a QB that will immediately be the backup and learn the system.

I, too, LOVE LOVE LOVE Jake Matthews and he is an absolute beast and I would not necessarily be upset if they chose him and looked at QB in say the 3rd round. I just think we have been burnt on a "hotshot" OT before and there are a TON of REALLY good OT in the first 3 rounds.

And your comment on Ikard makes ZERO sense. I have us choosing him in the FIFTH round and it is not like I am looking to draft him to start right away.

that does mean squat that they are NFL ready qb's. It could also mean that the position is just high in demand.

heck i still don't understand why bridgewater is considered the number 1 overall pick

IMO after watching A LOT of college football this season, I feel like Hundley,Manziel (even though I think he is a pompass ARSE), McCarron, Mettenburger and Carr could easily start week 1 for an NFL franchise.
I agree with you on Bridgewater. They must be seeing something I don't

The only guys I would say could lead a franchise MAYBE would be Bridgewater and Murray and Bridgewater is dealing with injuries. The other I personally don't think will transcend into anything special in the NFL. Great college qb's but that doesn't amount to much in the NFL. Hell Landry Jones is better than Bridgewater and Murray as a passer and I wouldn't even want him. I think it would be really smart to get lucky with the kid from UCLA in the mid rounds if he's there.

I really hope Fisher adds to that line. Sorry, thought people were saying he's a top Olinemen from articles. I guess that's what I was sensing from responses. I mean, if hes there in mid rounds then I'm okay with that.

KSUDodgers, I'd like to see Matthews or Wadkins in one or both of those two first rounders. I think we can do a QB later.

I think that it is all going to depend on what happens with Bradford. If he goes, we may not be able to pass up the opportunity to get a new franchise QB to build around.

You are right KSUDodgers and they'll be plenty of decisions to make as the Rams weight the merits of keeping Bradford with his salary especially if Clemens leads the Rams into the playoffs. If that happens, the approach to the draft will indeed change as the Rams may focus on the next franchise QB as you have stated and resigning vets like Saffold who has found his niche in the O-line and is playing pretty darn well.

Retro, ksu, and SJ76 will be happy with this week's USA Today Sports Weekly mock draft:

First Round

Pick #4 - Jake Matthews (we all want)
Pick #11 - Sammy Watkins (SJ76 favorite)

Second Round

Pick #42 - S Craig Loston LSU (ksu favorite)

Bridgewater, Mariota, and Manziel go at 1, 2, 3 and Boyd goes at 12 in round one.

Mettenberger and Murray go back to back at #47 and #48 in round two.

McCarron and Carr are not in the first two rounds.
