That's good to know. That explains where you have been for the last couple days MIA

Nah, what happened is I wasn't even a month past due with DirecTV and they turned off my service, when I called to make the payment they said they need an extra $300 to turn it back on, I was like well it was fun, buh bye! So I gotta go back to Spectrum, should be on this weekend.

F DirectTV!! I was a customer of theirs for like 12 years and finally had enough and switched to Hulu.. definitely some pros and cons but it's nice paying $100 less a month and no contract

Or you could get a 25/month firestick and get 50-60,000 channels and every sports package like I have. $25 a month per firestick

Blind partner salary cap draft. We find out halfway through after round 7 who partners are.
But we still make two lineups for our team with partners. So each team of parnters will have two lineups, one rotation and BP.

28 total players - 14 rounds
2 lineups (18)
5 SP’s
5 BP
NO BENCH

$150 salary combined for each team

So basically like that two lineup salary cap earlier but we have blinf partners.

Players before 1933 $20
Players after 1999 $20
Ruth, Walter and Bonds are $30
$1 per AS appearance

a fun draft we did once was an nba skills draft....I think we made 4 or 5 teams simultaneously of 5 players each....I think we did scoring, rebounding, passing, and defense. A player can only be used on one of your teams and once drafted, not available to any one else for a different skill. could be modified for different skills (shooting instead of scoring, handles maybe, etc). Not sure how well that flies with your voting process and the v-cash and all, but it was a fun exercise

only problem with that is that it would be 20-25 rounds of NBA... basketball is a filler around here... not a main event... except for sushi...

Yeah I think that was only a 6 person draft for us so it moved quickly...wouldn't really suggest it for more than 8 people and 20 rounds so maybe that doesn't work here as there's more GMs

Just checked it was a 5 team draft so only 100 total selections were taken. I can see your point with a 12 team draft it would get long in the tooth

I like the idea, I think it might add to it if you had to cut from 28 to 24, one final lineup and a five man bench that you could use to form a L/R lineup if you want, and your final bench could include bench picks or starters even...just as long as you could fit them under a cap. Cutting to fit a final cap would make it tougher

just a final thought on this to stow away for future...this idea could easily be modified for baseball....could make power/contact/speed/defense teams maybe or whatever skills would best fit. Baseball has a much bigger catalog of players to choose from so it would likely not get as stale. might work best as a 8-10 GM draft, like 3 or 4 skill teams each and only starters. If pitchers were to be included maybe could do power vs control or something along those lines.

I like the baseball idea better since it is baseball and baseball is the king of mock drafts... definitely needs to be played around because it would be WAY to big of a draft...

maybe do a PHASE draft that includes these...

I have always liked the 2 lineup idea for baseball...

If you kept it to just position players and 3 teams, would only be like 24 picks. Same as football. You could add 2 pitchers per team and keep it to 30 picks each

Power/Strikeouts: 8 POS and 2 SP
Contact/Control: 8 POS and 2 SP
Defense: 8 POS and 2 SP

I like this... still think it needs refinement...

maybe

6 POS, 3 SP, 3 RP

for each grouping...

and we would need to make the player pool in such a way that people don't cheat on players...

Maybe 1950 to current

and then at the end you have 2 full lineups and 9 SP/ RP...

reason I said 8 POS was 1 player for each position - like you are making an actual team for each. But again just a suggestion and however you guys best see fit if you want to try it someday is fine by me

1B/3B - 1 HOF or MVP
2B/SS - 1 HOF or MVP
C/DH 1 HOF or MVP
OF - 1 HOF or MVP
SP - 2 HOF or Cy Young
RP - 2 HOF or Cy Young
Bench - 1 HOF or MVP

I still think this is the best idea so far for baseball...
