A set number of years? 1871 - 1990??

We could do that, though I would just play it through today. It's the first time with this format, and with only 8 HOF per team, I don't think it's a big issue. Smitty's idea, but with one HOF per decade works great too

One HOF per decade would give us an 8/16 ratio, that would be great because you wouldn't need a salary cap. I like this idea.

Yeah, anyone drafted that started their career past 2000 is an automatic HOF...so your HOF pick had to have retired no later than 1995 to be eligible. If he retired in 96, one of your non HOF picks would be 2001, so not eligible
