Well with the way it looks in weak 1, the NFC West won't have much competition for top defenses this year.

Man these guys love them some Phillip Rivers.

Burman might be the worst announcer of all time. He is incapable of speaking without some little play on words or pun. It drives me crazy.

purguy, Foster has 53 yards. Is that enough to win your game?

That's a weird rule about not going over a center. Is that just on a kick or any play? If it's just for kicks, that's stupid. Kicks are just like any other play; the holder can hold it, throw it, run it, etc.

i am laughing so hard at the Chargers. They blew it like they were the Browns on the 1 yard line in the playoffs.

It is meant to stop what has been happening to the niners and stuff. shoving the head down on the center then jumping over him. It has happened way too much lately and the NFL had enough of teams breaking those rules and are enforcing them now.

This is an old rule, just enforcing it now. One of the reasons they are enforcing it now is that Harbaugh and the niners have been complaining about it.

I've never heard about not being able to line up over the center. Shoving the head down is one thing, but lining up over the center is another.

You never could cover the center. As long as I remember covering the center is a penalty. I have seen the umpire shove NTs over pre-snap to make them legal.

I don't understand this post. Lining up over the center is the zero technique, and that's never been illegal.

I have nothing against Rivers, but the way he celebrated the third touchdown for some reason was so annoying to me that I was happy they ended up losing the game on his pick 6. He was exhaling as if all he had to do to overcome the last two years was throw three touchdowns in one half, with one of them being basically the receiver's credit for reaching for the pylon. He's either been good and just bad coaching or he's played poorly and will have to keep it up to return to the good ole days. They did better than I thought, but Denver's the AFC West champ, IMO and there are too many that could get the WC over them, especially with this loss (would have turned a paper loss into a real win - now it's just a real loss).
