As was pointed out before though, Georgia Southern ran all over Alabama a couple years ago

They still won that game 45-21.

I also don't think Bama would underestimate us like they did Georgia Southern. I really think GT would get butchered.

That being said I would *love* a home and home with Bama. Only way to get better is to play the best.

Impressed with Georgia Tech's QB so far

he had the bad play with the fumble but he seems to be a very fast and crafty runner and can throw the bell pretty well too

Georgia Tech's offensive line is also very impressive, they have dominated through much of the first half

Tennessee came well prepared but Georgia Tech's QB is making plays and the line is carving huge holes on the inside

I don't know what Tennessee can do differently besides hope for more turnovers

I remember it, I'm just not 100% convinced a lot of prep went into that game. I believe it was the week before the Iron bowl. But I'd still like to see if Bama could improve that number. Georgia Southern kicked our ass that game

you don't get to the position Nick Saban is without prepping adequately for the upcoming game on your schedule and not the week after. That scheme ate bama alive on a short week. People don't realize how hard that shit is to play with a week or less of practice.

I recall a few years ago you guys had a dominant defense that went several weeks without giving up a TD against SEC teams and then Georgia Southern racked up like 200+ rushing yards and 21 or so points on you

but I'm not sure how much preparation was put into that game

That was the "shit through a tin horn" game. IIRC. Oddly enough, they scored more (21) on us than anybody we played that year.

Looks standard for our offense, we aren't sputtering, so that's as much as I hoped for.

The defense looks better than they have in 30 years.

Yeah, they ran the triple-option to near perfection. Was frustrating to watch.

Yup ... we gotta play Navy every year in nail biters and hope we don't lose a whole buncha players due to all the cut blocking option teams use.

Usually require a MASH unit after that game.

Pruitt has coached against Tech before at Georgia

Gave up 30 in an overtime game against a very good Tech team in 2014

only gave up 7 against a bad Tech team in 2015, they had Georgia Southern as a warm-up the week prior that year and they gave up 17 to them

We have to deal with Air Force every year

couldn't defend against their option for years, we finally figured out how to stop their option but we sucked anyways and lost last year
