So it seems we're going to take a pre draft look at MM. Not surprised since I think it's obvious he's in play with SM, smokescreen or no.

Shit just got even more interesting at the poker table...

So, let's see. Scot went to Oregon to watch his pro day and now he brings hm into Redskins park for a visit. What do you think rg3 is thinking right now? How's that for a vote of confidence from the new guy responsible for talent evaluation?

A pretty clear sign that competition is the name of the game at every position on the roster.

Yup. He has never had to really face competition or even negative comments. All through HS and college, he was the man and could do no wrong. It will be very telling to see how he handles this. Does he sulk and claim unfair treatment or does he rise to the occasion and accept the challenge? Honestly, I don't know. If I had to bet, however, right now my money would be on he flames out this year, his last as a Redskin. I really, really hope I'm wrong.

It will be interesting whether they pick up Griffins 5th year option.

SM is just evaluating how many other draft picks he will want from the Eagles when they send over Sam Bradford for the #5 pick.

I wouldn't mind having Bradford over McCoy. And if The Skins didn't lose any draft picks getting him. Same time I wouldn't mind Jenifer Lawrence's hand in marriage but thats not going to happen either LOL.

This is a smokescreen. I'll be you dollars to donuts that someone clued RGIII in on this ruse. Like it or not, Robert has got really thin skin. And the Redskins better find a way to deal with that.

You mean RG3 better find a way to deal with it since it is his problem & not theirs. The beauty of the current situation is that Redskins are in position to find their eventual QB regardless. They are finally admitting that they are in a rebuild situation & really don't need to find their future QB till next season if needed.

No need to make panic moves or sign unnecessary extensions. In this cases most of the burden is on RG3. If he progresses in a major way he might have a long term future in DC. Otherwise - they have options (which should not include panic moves like trading for Bradford).

Also - these type of tryouts, etc just reinforce the fact that the current FO is not married to the idea of retaining RG3. They were not part of the regime that made the RG3 trade & signed him. I truly believe that they want to objectively assess the situation & do the right thing (& basically not factor in what was already traded away in the past - at some pt you need to move on).

I think it's simply due diligence to have the visit. Given our position in the draft at 5, makes no sense NOT to have MM visit. Win/win no matter the motivations.

Very true. He needs to develop a thicker skin too. He's like a Hollywood actress facing criticism for the first time.
