Hey, @obxyankeefan, gotta question for you.

I try to pick all the games Monday morning.

Let's say I pick Houston to beat Toronto today and tomorrow. Then, today's TOR@HOU game is PPD and is rescheduled as a double header tomorrow. Tomorrow, Toronto wins the first game, and Houston takes the second.

What would be my record for these two games?

0-1

But if they started today's game and called it in the seventh to finish tomorrow you would go 1-1

That's a gay rule. You're a gay old man.

A sincere thank you for keeping track of all of this.

See I can live with this. Because my team just got a bunch of prospects, while your team got an overused bullpen arm and the finger from a backup Catcher

You're not used to rooting for a deadline seller, huh?

See, I can live with your silly spin because I know the reality of the situation is that the Indians just traded a nice selection of could-be's for one of the top relief pitchers in baseball (who's averaged less than 50 IP/season in relief - "overused," ha!), because the Indians have the best record, run differential and odds to make the playoffs in the AL, while the Yankees suck balls.

outside the Yankees, the teams I root for have more bad years then good.

Lions 1 playoff win in fifty+ years
UVA football has sucked for over a decade now. Basketball once lost over 20 consecutive tournament games including the NCAA, NIT, and ACC.
Penguin were the worst team in the NHL for the first five years of the 2000s.
My HS set the Virginia state losing record, by not winning their first football game of the millennium until 2006.

What in the funk is going on around here?

As of 7/12:

Per min 666 games

572 Rmilia
571 Slinky
569 Obx

I've been using an extremely simple strategy for the MLB pick 'ems all season and through the all-star break, it consistently kept me in the top-3 or so in winning percentage. As of 7/12, I was firmly in 2nd with a stout .571 W%.

Since then, I've gone 123-149 (.452) and have only had > .500 seven out of 20 days.

This is shaking my confidence in my K.I.S.S. strategy, but I feel I've got to dance with the one who brought me. . .

It's that time of the year where the dartboard strategy becomes quite effective.

i had 5 right yesterday phi/stl/tex/chc/kc not that it will matter:suds:

Yeah, I think the Astros-Twins game is throwing his maths off...I seem to have 10 correct

Giants at Marlins - W
Phillies at Dodgers - L
Indians at Nationals - L
Yankees at Red Sox - L
Padres at Pirates - L
Rays at Blue Jays - W
Diamondbacks at Mets - L
Reds at Cardinals - W
Rockies at Rangers - W
Angels at Cubs - W
Braves at Brewers - W
Astros at Twins - PPD
White Sox at Royals - L
Orioles at Athletics - L
Tigers at Mariners - W

I went 7-7, not 6-8. Maybe he had a game marked wrong, or something.

Hey, OBX, you remember when I said:
You're a gentleman and a scholar.

Is it too late to take back that "scholar" bit?

Sportsguy going out on a limb picking games after most of them are over. Bold strategy!

I have to make a complaint. I think @moxie hacked my account and made my picks because my record has sucked this week

I think yesterday was my first winning day in like a week. I'm suffering my midseason swoon.

Well, in fairness, Giancarlo Stanton is overrated.

Jeter and Posada were the first dudes in MLB history to 69 each other in the clubhouse.

So you say. I have my doubts, missy.

Look at my favorite teams @SlinkyRedfoot. You lose two games for ridiculing The all mighty Stanton. You lose two games for forgetting about Fritz Peterson and Mike Kekich. But on the bright side you gained three games for disagreeing with Rotten Pasta.
