No im asking can I take 3 separate players one from each Boston, Milwaukee and Atlanta.

I said yes.

Player A played for Boston from 1940-1945
Player B played for Milwaukee from 1950-1958
Player C played for Atlanta from 1960-1968

You just can't have a player play the 5yrs for 2 different named teams. If player played for Boston from 1940-42 then Milwaukee from 43-50. You couldn't count Boston cuz it's less then 5yrs.

That's fine if it's more then 30. I just want order. To many restrictions causes problems it seems.

You can have a player for Houston expos who played 5yrs straight, then have a player from Washington nationals who played 5yrs straight even though expos became Nats. It's counted as 2 separate teams. You just can't have the years run into each other.

I think it's way too much like a no restrictions all-time draft when you're including a ton more than 30 teams and UK said he was fine for it counting for both, but whatever I don't want to cause more arguments

500 I'm trying to make it simple because the other way caused problems.

I made it simple and started over like everyone wanted. I answered your question. Now if you still have a question text me. If you don't then make your pick.

The other way caused problems because people didn't know who was eligible or not. Every player is eligible now so that's not an issue. It's pretty simple knowing that any Senators players count the same as Twins because they're the same franchise.

Ritz is trying to make it simple, which is a good thing. I think eliminating both teams is still easy, but I'm good either way

So if a player played with himself for 5 years 14-19, would that mean he played for the home team... And what if he played with himself for 5 straight years but had a girlfriend who would let him in the back door within that time frame... Would he then be a pirate...?:noidea:

My other question is why don't we do as 500 has suggested its wrong to be able to pick players from the same franchise, kinda goes against your idea for this draft doesn't it?

Because people will say I didn't know the nationals used to be the expos. Why not keep it simple so people don't screw up and we redo the draft again.

I picked Babe Ruth as a Red Sox. I can not change my mind later and make him a Yankee so I can take a sox player. Once you designate your team it's final.

In my opinion you aren't making it simple you are just making it more like a wide open draft not the draft you intended it to be.
