It's funny his WAR is right there with Jeter

I think if you put Larkin with those Yanks you don't miss a beat
He was awesome man. I figured I would probably lose him but it's still hurts a little bit. Almost as much as just walking out of the dentist office after hearing that I need to have a $2,700 route canal. TGIF my ass

really it is becoming the opposite... Don't think people realize how good his bat was... if not just very consistent...

Not when people put him in there top 25. That’s crazy. I mean compare him to the other great Yankees

top 25 overall including pitchers is definitely too high...

but if only offense, you can make an argument for him... remember that Premium positions get boosts...

Is actually take Jeter slightly ahead of Larkin. You don't won that many rings on accident. It's the old Emmitt vs Barry argument. Barry was far more talented. But for a decade and a half, Emmitt never came off the field on 3rd or 4th and short or Goal line, he just rammed it ahead to move the chains or score against 8-9 man fronts. Barry didn't do that. Winning plays matter IMO

Forget the championships there is nothing offensively Larkin did better than Jeter before you factor in whatever intangibles. And I’m not even the biggest Jeter fan. In the 90s dynasty the only other HOF player he played with was Mo before Clemens arrived. So it’s not like he was playing with the Yankees from way back in the day that were so much more talented than everyone else it wasn’t fair

I would also take Jeter over Larkin but I still think Jeter has been hyped up way too much. No doubt he is a great and a winner though.

I like Jeter but IMO if he's drafted by the Brewers you likely wouldn't know his name.

I like Jeter but IMO if he's drafted by the Brewers you likely wouldn't know his name.

He could have been as fat as the Babe for the Brew Crew, switched to OF and could have been one of the best power hitters ever
