I guess he killed a lot of teams. But the Bucs were in the same division as the Phillies then so I got to see him more than I wanted back then.I always thought of him as a Cub killer.......always a pain in our ass.

Certainly qualifies, but was not on the 2002 team that reached the ALCS.Are you sure you aren't thinking Justin morneau?
Actually thought Young was a HOF player at the time he approached retirement... Then I saw his defensive ratings.this is a way better example
Had a solid WAR for a guy that only played eight years, many of which he missed significant time... Not seeing what the issue is.We led with Corie Koskie? lol

All-star appearances is all you got apparently… 14 year major leaguer and one-time MVP Morneau had only a marginally better career WAR in spite of > than 2000 extra plate appearances.0 all stars
you said hall of very good
not hall of OK
Wow. 54 WAR very impressive for a guy w/ just one all-star appearance.Kevin Appier... had a nice run from 90-97 as one of the best pitchers in MLB. Unfortunately he wasn't the same after he got hurt. Should have won the '93 AL CYA IMO.
