Jeffro. My 1-5 hitters are just too much for Ritz's pitching staff, especially in a 7 game series.

Ritz with Trevor Hoffman blowing the save in Game 7 as he did in any big spot in his career. Ritz can match Jeffro's top of the lineup and has the better lineup depth. Robinson, Brett > Rose, Lajoe with the 3, 4 guys cancelling each other out basically.

isn't it an automatic DQ if someone picks Joe Mauer?

Hate picking a winner here. Both teams have fantastic lineups, I would give a slight edge to Jeffro . Benches are close. Slight rotation edge to Ritz and a decent edge in the bullpen. I had Ritz tied for first in rankings, and it holds up, but couldn't be closer. Jeffro's team is excellent

Ritz really close

Really tough for me to vote against Musial, Ruth, Robinson but when I look at the temas as a whole and how I believe they would fair against each other I gotta go Ritz by the slimest of margains...

You're lineup is better 1-9 on the whole. (Sorry Ritz, station to station waiting on the three run homer isn't cutting it for me.)

Your rotation is better 1-5 on the whole. Especially your #4 starter, wheffffff.

Jeffro gets my vote.

I think so as well, but looks like were outnumbered. Crazy, I figured the team with all HOF's in the lineup and bench except 2 (Rose and Trout) would beat a team that has at least 5 on the team that will most likely not be in the HOF (Martinez, Thome, Lofton, Ortiz and Mauer). Our rotations are very similar, mine has a career ERA avg of 3.18, Ritz has 3.13.

ERA is a tough one across the eras. I'd imagine my starting rotation had the best by a considerable amount, but I don't think it was top four. I'd take yours ahead of mine. But I lost too.

The vote in this one surprises me.

I almost went Jeffro here for the reasons you said... But I had these being 2 of my worst teams, but I think ritz team has more potential with some lineup changes...

If he changes to more of a slow pitch softball team, I'll be pissed.

If Ichiro is batting second I'd be happy.

Hahaha

I might overvalue Ichiro a little. But he's pretty high on my list of lefty contact hitters with speed and high end defense.

Had he came over at 21-22, he's right on Pete Rose heals this year. And would have a shot at 3-4 all time in steals. Possibly right there for Alltime in runs.

I like George Brett, but I'd put what little speed I have at the top.

I disagree. Second is a premium spot and Brett is the better hitter

I don't see Brett as a better hitter. He did hit more home runs. But until Ichiro hit his mid thirties, it's hard to find a better 2nd hitter imo. (Cobb and Gehringer being two that come to mind.). Plus the speed difference.

Brett not only hit way more homers but also has a higher OBP. Don't know if you're a Saber guy, but Brett kills Ichiro in my two favorite Saber stats wOBA and wRC+.
