Not Mebert's Alt
He was under contract for 5 years.
Is it contract years or years played? I did not realize he sat out a year, I am not sure the rules on it
He was under contract for 5 years.

No DQ, I forfeit. Not mad at all, I screwed upHow did we do this in the past, I certainly don't wanna to DQ anyone.
Butthurt
Lets wait to hear the ruling from nos. contract years vs years played is a fine distinction, I don't think we had cause to look into it before. My 4 year statement was because I did not know he had a contract for 5.No DQ, I forfeit. Not mad at all, I screwed up
What did adding him fix?
Butthurt or Baseball clueless. Whateversure why not..
why?? he was a first pitch swinger... In his career he saw 3.35 pitches per PA, the MLB average was 3.68... Yes, he was an awesome hitter, but if your not going to see pitches you are not giving your leadoff hitter the opportunity to move up and rattle the pitcher... I have said this many times, i don't like my top of the order guys to not walk... Don't care if we are doing mocks with pitchers who don't walk batters...
What you just don't get is in a battle of the best players of all time there would not be base stealing, when the best hitters of all time are coming up next you don't risk running into an out to gain 1 base.
in your opinion!!! i disagree, and think base running will always be important, and is a great way to rattle a pitcher... It is not the only way to win, but if your lead off hitter is a good SB guy, you don't want to negate or minimize that strength..
He's ideal.I cant for the life of me imagine someone not liking Gwynn in the 2 hole, that's just insane.
Woah.Nice catch, I saw Santana played with the Mets from 08-12 forgot he sat out 11. That's an illegal player, I change my vote to 500 and DQ myself
If you don't think Tony Gwynn could take pitches, I don't know what to tell you. First, you aren't rattling Roger Clemens SMH. Two, if a coach has a great contact, low strikeout LHH that can square the ball to all fields, hit and run is a far safer and more explosive option. Baseball 101, even at the HS levelin your opinion!!! i disagree, and think base running will always be important, and is a great way to rattle a pitcher... It is not the only way to win, but if your lead off hitter is a good SB guy, you don't want to negate or minimize that strength..
I disagree on that one.No problem with you picking 500 because he has an awesome team in all facets.. but saying you don't like Tony Gwynn as a 2 hole is by far the stupidest thing you ever said, hands down
