Nobody who started in 2000 - 2016 is eligible, everyone who is a HOFer who started their career prior to 1933 is eligible and will cost $25. Players NOT in the HOF who began their career prior to 1933 are NOT eligible.

I get the steroid era thing, but most eras had something about it that distorted numbers. In the 80s it was amphetamines. In the old days, starters pitched 9 innings on 3 days rest. Are you telling me that Ruth's stats were not inflated by getting 5 PA against the same guy with the last 2 coming when he is on fumes. McGwire gets 3 PAs against the starter and then has his next 2 against different relievers, some of whom were absolutely lights out.

Ruth is still the best, and I am not saying that McGwire is definitely top 5, but he is top 10 at baseball's most hitter rich position, costs $12, and was a great player.

Also, what I don't get is why everyone is so hard on McGwire. He took Andro, which was legal. I am pretty sure he never tested positive or had anything more than suspicion of steroids against him, yet Bonds is in most people's top 5 all time with definitive proof of steroids.

Mays had 4 seasons where he played in 2 All-Star games so only 20 seasons, that makes him $25....I still don't get the 2 all-star games in one season it makes no sense to me

You can use your bench for whatever you want, this draft is just giving you the opportunity to use some defensive players who might otherwise not be drafted.

I also disagree with Milk, there are 5 players on the bench not everyone is gonna use one of them in CF, and even if they did Willie is still one of the best fielding CF's of all time so he is worth every $ I spent on him.

Now, I am confused, we CAN use our bench however we want??? the rules page says they substitute for any 5 on defense... Don't we ALL have to be playing with the same rules??


The problem I do see with the defensive bench rule... Yes, it does make the bench players more valuable, but it also makes defense less important than normal... WHEN everyone has a great defense, how important is it to be BETTER than the other???
