Spinal Disc Surgery.

Does this mean he will return? Or still somehow be drafted in the top 3?

I feel bad for Porter but I don’t feel bad for Cuonzo Martin.

Mizzou fans couldn't stop talking shit about KU (???) because of this guy. Heh.

As for the kid- man this sucks for him. Not familiar with the procedure, is he still draftable or would NBA teams want to see him in school for a year?

He's gone. He's played his last college basketball game.

Yikes. I'd be sick if I were a Mizzou fan. I knew I was when Embiid went down and their chances went poof.
Mizzou really needed Porter, too.

We're coming off our worst coach in school history and a previous coach that gutted the program and ran himself out of town. I've had a few days to process this because everyone knew it was going to be serious but this just sucks.

Mizzou isnt going to win 10 games without him. Well maybe just above 10 but they need to learn how to shoot.

still a lottery pick if he proves his back is fine

Porter was not the reason MU fans talked shit to KU. We've been doing it since before you were born, son.

on the bright side, without Porter, there is no Tilmon, Harris, Jontay, etc

The team is better, regardless if he is on the floor or not

Still fucking sucks that we are hoping for an NIT bid now.

Heh. Maybe true, but every story has its chapters.

But I agree on your assessment of the team.

There is some potential but they've only played well against midgets so far. Last years guard play was the worst I've ever seen and there is some hope with this years team but they haven't shown it yet. Its possible that the team knew this was coming and they havent been playing well because they were mentally out of it but they are going to need to play better for that NIT/Tourney bid.

I think its going to be a 3 year process with Cuonzo Martin's rebuild now that Porter is out unless he comes back next year.

Tough break for him and CBB fans, any time someone of this magnitude gets hurt, it hurts the entire product of CBB.

I agree. Now doubt it's why they almost lost last night

At least now everybody knows the situation and he can set the roles accordingly. First off, find a point guard. I thought TP would play more, but I was wrong.

They need to get Kassius Robertson into a groove. I think he is the difference between Mizzou being decent and Mizzou being one of the worst.

There was a real buzz for Mizzou basketball this year that hasnt been around in awhile. Its a shame but I guess the rebuild is going to have to happen the hard way.

He's going to have to do a little more coaching than he expected.

He also needs to find a way to keep Tilmon out of foul trouble.

To bad to see this. Guy's supposed to be a top pick next year, does this prevent him from going #1 I wonder?
