Jair Jurrjens was designated for assignment. He was removed off the 40 man roster to make room for Jairo Asencio on the 40 and who was called up. Championship!!!!!

Jair has been struggling of late with a 5.32 ERA over his past eight starts for the Tides.

In 37 2/3 innings for Norfolk this season, Jairo has a 2.15 ERA with 9.8 K/9 and 1.7 BB/9.
