Mini Camp Thread

[Mountain Bronco]

Well we are in mini camp right now. Stories from the first day yesterday are:

Crisper practices - on time with purpose - Good to hear but that should be the norm, not the nonsense from last year.
Tim Patrick looking relatively healthy - that is great to see.
KJ Hamler living with Tim Patrick - hopefully that helps him gain some type of consistency but don't know how it will prevent all the injuries.

Not a lot of other hype which is actually pretty good to see.

I've heard Montrell Washington was impressive. The Tim Patrick recovery and Hamler moving in seems to be the big story..

Not much come from OTA's in terms of getting excited but I really hope we stay healthy long term as several teams have lost players in OTA's.

Pay attention to Tyler Badie. While a lot of people don't think we have a #3 RB on the roster I think he could be that guy. He is different then our top two and that is good.

Jaleel McLaughlin is getting a lot of love too.

Could he be our 3rd RB and change of pace RB? Long ways to go bfore he wins that but he looked impressive so far.

Peyton has the creativity to get something out of these smaller but blazing quick guys that a lot of other coaches can't get anything viable out of. I hope it bodes well for McLaughlin and players like Washington.

Peyton Manning did well with men of all sizes.


But for real. You're right. Sean Payton has always done well with speedy, smaller guys and how to utilize those guys.

I've also heard a lot of good things about Ja'Quan McMillian at camp so far. Probably not enough to move on from K'Waun Williams (especially since he is so cheap this year), but CB group might be in better shape than first thought heading into this year.
