The Penguins are 10-7, but this Pittsburgh team does not look good at all these days.

Maybe they can just slide him into Mike Johnson's slot on TSN. As a TSN watcher I say it's worth a shot.

I would welcome the change, Kenny.

HEY!! Maybe we could do a full switch and have Mike Johnson coach the Penguins.

TSN improves and the Pens flame out in hilarious fashion.

I need to make a few calls.

Losing to the Jackets = death sentence.

Is that death sentence switching coaches?

Seriously though the BJs have been better of late. Maybe Torts IS the answer. :spy:

When he figures out how to use his lineup - watch out.

The game tonight was very reminiscent of the team that went on the tear at the end of the season. Sticking up for each other, good flow, strong cycle. Maybe he is just showing them tape of last year. That's pretty much all they needed to do.

That and trade Jack Johnson.

I asked Malkin what is wrong with the Penguins. He said: "Everything. We don't play right. We don't play hard. We're mad at each other."

I hate the system, but it's covering his terrible defense. The guy coaches like someone who is just trying to keep their job. Offense is sacrificed to play conservatively, covering for the defense. The wins have been MAF and the past few Ws have been the PP winning it. Even strength they can't do anything consistently on offense. It's maddening. Tocchet still having his job is especially hilarious. I dunno...it's all very odd. Having one star struggling can happen, but all of them? At once? Sid doesn't look right. Geno has had a few games where he just said eff it and took over. Phil is benefitting from aforementioned Geno take over, and with his shot goals happen. Letang is having a terrible year. With the talent out there, goals should happen. It's hard not look to a coach when there's a systemic lack of offense.

They're not having that bad a season, only Crosby who's lagging on now is the only 1 under performing.

It's not just him. Really it isn't. Geno and Kessel are doing better comparatively, but any player with offensive capabilities is struggling. It makes me think of the Caps under Hunter quite a bit.

At first when i saw that Jimmy was flying to Denver I thought it was to immediately drop the axe if things didn't go well, but then the Dupuis news happened and it made more sense. That said, I don't think anyone who's watched this team can say they look right. It's an obnoxious amount of talent doing not a whole lot. I mean Crosby, Malkin, Kessel...those three alone should be putting up big goals.

Interesting tidbit: Scuderi is sitting tonight with Letang back. Sprong is in too, but that's forced by the Dupuis retirement. MAF is starting too, and he's on pace for 70 starts...which reeks of a coach coaching for his job.
