I am not sure I agree with you 100%. Miggy will likely not stay at 3B for more than a few more years. He will move to 1B or DH. If the Tigers have a 3B prospect (I have no idea what their farm looks like) that is better than their 1B prospects (or their 1B in Det), than he will factor into the equation.

We have a similar situation with Hacktor and Susac. They are both starting-quality catchers, yet we have a franchise catcher who owns one of these "CFC"s. I think having Hacktor and Susac in the org is a HUGE benefit, and offers flexibility when it comes to Posey, Belt, Panda and the LF positions (and potentially, to a lessor extent, the 2B picture).
