Should be a fun night in Abbotsford tonight, as the Habs farm team (Hamilton Bulldogs) pay a visit. Also, Habs legend Yvan 'The Roadrunner' Cournoyer will be at tonight's game (one of my all-time favourite Canadien players). The topper is it's 1 dollar hot dog and 2 dollar beer night.

Heat win 5-1 last night, nice to see Horak score again after a little bit of a dry spell (11 goals in the young season is still darn good). The beer and hot dog promotion help draw over 5,000 fans to the arena last night, so that's not too bad either.

I think the Flames/Heat signed a 10 year lease in Abbotsford, but Aquilini could always buy out that lease and stick the Canucks farm team in Abby. I agree Matty, it should happen and I believe it will happen one day.

I've been thinking this for a while. Some of these affiliations are extremely awkward. The Canucks farm team should be in Abbotsford. The Chicago Wolves should be the Blackhawks AHL team. The Flames should move their AHL team back to Saint John (but SJ still keeps the Sea Dogs). Just kidding about that last one obviously but I guess the Flames would end up in Rockford by process of elimination unless there's some more shuffling around.

They should build a 10,000 seat arena in Banff and put the Flames farm team in the mountain resort. Banff Fighting Squirrels has a nice ring to it.
