Barry Brust is less than a period away from AHL history - When you're mentioned in the same breath as Johnny Bower, that's nice company.

It was his third consecutive shutout, extending his goal-less streak to 231 minutes, 41 seconds. Hockey Hall of Famer Johnny Bower -- the AHL's all-time leader in wins and shutouts -- owns the league's record for longest shutout streak at 249:51.

Danny Taylor got the start for the Heat against the Texas Stars last night and got the shutout in a 1-0 OT win. That's five shutouts for the Heat in the month of November.

Brust was with the Baby Sens a couple of years back. He played well in the regular season, lost his spot to Lehner in the POs and watched as Lehner won the Calder Cup and the playoff MVP. He's a very good goalie. It's nice to see him playing well.

I didn't know that he had joined the Flames organization. I thought a TV show was a prereq. for anyone joining the Heat.

lol - Nah, you never like to see guys injured (especially young guys starting out their careers). I see some Oilers fans are already calling Justin Schultz the next Paul Coffey, geez I hope he's better in his own zone than Paul.
