Michigan State coaching search...

I think I have said on a few other posts that I wish the "worst" on Michigan State in their coaching search, but I'm starting to feel bad for them. It seems that they are having a tough time locking someone into the job.

I know when Michigan was in the same type of coaching situation in the early 00's, it is a sucky feeling. I still hope they find a coach that allows them to continue to lose to Michigan, and hurts their recruiting in the region, but it sucks to get turned down by coaches.

Keep your head up Sparty...maybe your Jim Harbaugh is around the corner! (this is sarcasm, in case you are wondering)

He did at first. Then they came back and offered to make him a top-10 paid coach in the nation, effectively doubling his contract at Colorado. The proverbial "offer you can't refuse".

That makes sense. I don't know much about him, so I'll have to see what Michigan will be up against these next few years. If he is a great coach, I assume it will take him 2-3 years before the rest of the B10 has to worry about him.

I think I agree. It did feel like they were getting desperate and just wanted it to be over with. Perhaps he will surprise people and be exactly what they need. I didn't see Dantonio having the success he had when he was hired.

Definitely a scummy look to it and will hurt him in the future. He will not see the 2025 season as coach at Michigan State.

He would have been good. I think he has his sights set on an nfl job though. I think you guyyys actually did quite well given the circumstances.
