Not this week anyway.

They are ranked 16th and they need to be ranked 14th.

Nebraska is not out of the Insight Bowl just yet.

It doesn't matter if Houston wins it's CCG.

There won't be any spots for Michigan or K State

Let's see if I can keep from fucking this up.

1. Oregon/UCLA winner......... (Auto-Bid)
2. Stanford .........................(Guaranteed At large @ #4)
3. Big East...........................(Auto-Bid)
4. Va Tech/Clemson winner.... (Auto-bid)
5. Oklahoma/Okie St winner.... (Auto-bid)
6. Wisky/Michigan St winner....(Auto-Bid)
7. Georgia/LSU winner............(Auto-Bid)
8. Alabama...........................(BCS CG)
9. Houston...........................(Auto-Bid) w/win over Southern Miss.

LSU (12-1) (BCS CG) if they lose to Georgia (potential 3 SEC teams in)

Potential At Large teams (not in any particular order)

Va Tech (11-2) if Clemson wins ACC
Okie St (10-2) if Oklahoma wins Big XII
Michigan (10-2) if they get to #14 in BCS Standings
Arkansas (10-2) if LSU/Alabama in NCG
Kansas St (10-2) if Okie St wins.

if Virginia Tech jumps Stanford with a win over Clemson

and everything else remains the same than we will be in the Fiesta Bowl

against either Kansas State or Oklahoma

Oklahoma didn't drop far after losing to Texas Tech, I don't think they drop below 14 for losing to Oklahoma State

so we could be facing Oklahoma again

I hope

I didn't think a Non AQ that 'didn't win it's conference' could go to the BCS?

The Big XII Champ is locked into the Fiesta if they're not playing in the NCG. That eliminates Kansas St totally and Oklahoma if they lose to Okie St.

ie..TCU won your conference and Houston get's the Non-AQ Auto Bid if they beat S. Miss.

we're part of the At-Large pool, sir

BTW, if Houston loses TCU is looking at an autobid possibly

Oh boy :L

"No more than one such team from Conference USA, the Mid-American Conference, the Mountain West Conference, the Sun Belt Conference, and the Western Athletic Conference shall earn an automatic berth in any year. (HOUSTON) However, a second team from one of these conferences may qualify as a BCS at-large." (BOISE ST)

It will be interesting to see what happens if by some freak accident Georgia wins. Because 2 teams is the max number a conference can get in to the BCS but if you are in the top 4 you are supposed to be guaranteed a spot as well. Will LSU stay in the top 4? If so then what about the 2 team limit?

The key here is to remember that the #1 and #2 BCS teams do not count as At Large teams.

So yes, it appears there are 3 scenarios for the SEC to get 3 teams in.

1. LSU beats Georgia. LSU remains #1 and plays #2 Alabama for the NC. Arkansas will be eligible for an at large bid.

2. Georgia beats LSU. Georgia gets the SEC Auto-Bid. Alabama and LSU remain #1 and #2 and play for the NC. (Arkansas may still be eligible for an At Large here to make it 4 SEC teams) :L

3. Georgia beats LSU. Georgia gets the SEC Auto-Bid. Alabama remains #1 or #2 (thus not counting as an At Large). LSU remains in the Top 4 and gets an At Large.

If I am wrong, someone please correct me..

BTW

The #3 and #4 spots fall under the At Large rules.

ie..Stanford @ #4 right now is guaranteed a BCS game, but is considered an At Large for the PAC 12.

They stated a few times last night that even if 2 SEC schools are in the NCG they can't get a 3rd. Arkansas doesn't deserve a BCS bid anyways. They have 2 wins over teams with winning records and got destroyed by the other 2 they played.
