Did anyone think that the Phins could recover from losing three of its starting offensive linemen to find itself in strong contention to grab the final AFC WC spot? I know that I didn't.
Miami is tied with Baltimore for that spot, though the Ravens own the head-to-head tie-breaker. Looks to me, however, that their remaining schedules favor the Phins. Miami hosts NE, goes to Buffalo, and finishes at home against NYJ. The Ravens are at Detroit, host NE, and at the Bengals.
Both teams could lose at least two games, so either SD or NYJ, which are both only one game back of them in the standings, cold also grab that final spot. Looks to me, though, like Miami has a pretty good shot to earn what looked like a very unlikely playoff birth a few weeks ago.
