Spo also need to address his 4th quarter rotation in close games. No reason for both Whiteside and Dragic to miss more than half of the quarter. Soon as Washington tied it then one of them should have returned.

I don't know about all that. We usually play Washington well as we saw once again tonight. I could easily see a situation where we win on Friday in Washington and beat Indiana on Sunday which would leave us at 8-8.

Ok. Hope you are right. Maybe the team just takes some time to get going.

You do realize most of the teams we played with winning records was when we didn't have Whiteside right? I highly doubt they lose 3 straight at home against Boston, Minny, and San Antonio with Hassan in the lineup? Can't overlook that considering he is our most important player for obvious reasons

We're still on a much better pace compare to the 11-30 first half last year. I think they'll be fine. I don't think they will reach my expectations which was 45-47 wins but I think they will get close to the odds on them before the season. I think the O/U was 41.5 or 42.5 which seems more likely at the moment.

Just got to take it one game at time. One thing I will say about this team is they're always in games. It is usually the little things that bite them in the ass which is easily correctable. Things like silly turnovers late in the 4th or allowing their opponent to get into the penalty way too early in the 4th.

I would be much more concern if they were losing games by 10 or 12 points and not having a chance to win late. They have had a chance to win in the final 2 minutes in 5 of their 8 losses. In other words the 6-8 record could easily be something like 9-5 had they done the little things

So it looks like the troll made an appearance on the board in another Heat loss... go figure.

I guess now we await the same fate in Washington

The guy is a turd. He probably has us locked in as a lottery team again..

Boy the days when he was off the board and people thought he didn't have a pulse anymore are truly missed now

Not an important stat for me but I know it is for some of you:

Not a single Heat player was on the + side of the +/- unless you count K.O. who was at 0

This is long overdue. It was just another unsurprising, underwhelming performance for Richardson on both ends of the floor.

Not saying he shouldn't play, but at this point him as a starter and getting so many minutes is just a liability to the team.

We simply need to go to a more conventional lineup that doesn't put us at disadvantages and mismatches from the start for no reason whatsoever

But we know Spo is stubborn and set in his ways so this adjustment is unlikely to happen - as is the one you suggested bks.

Not sure exactly what team goals he and the team set for themselves, but sometimes it seems as if this season has little meaning to them. As bks also said, they need to value the ball more. They need to value games more.

They will accomplish this simply by at least giving the illusion they are trying to make adjustments to the many constant mistakes they've made this season. If they dont make the necessary adjustments ASAP it will just become clear that this season doesn't mean much to them for a reason or another

Something doesn't sound right about this.....

Although Miami is one of the most aggressive teams in the league, ranking second to the Toronto Raptors in drives to the basket with 55.1 per game, the Heat is getting to the free throw line for only 4.3 attempts on drives per game, sixth-fewest in the league.

In addition, the Heat is getting fouls called on them at an average of 20.3 fouls per game, sixth-most in the league and is drawing fouls on their opponents at a rate of 18 per game, ninth-fewest. Only three teams have a bigger gap between getting calls to go their way and being called for fouls than the Heat (-35): Golden State (-57), Milwaukee (-54) and Philadelphia (-46).

Spo stays being stubborn- makes no necessary adjustments and it’s the same starting 5

I think I posted this the other day , maybe a different source.

But my question was , of those drives to the basket , how many ended in actual shots , pints or even trips to the free throw line? And even turnovers ? So while driving to the basket is great , I call for it on every play — if it’s not resulting in points and instead turnovers — then this stat matters little . The heat simply have to improve their offensive efficiency in every sense of it .

JJ already being summoned by Spo because he realizes the mismatch he starts games with when he has guys in the wrong position

So far the heat just want it more — this is often the difference in games for them and what they just don’t enough of
