Game Thread: Miami Dolphins Regular Season Week 1 Game Thread vs Baltimore Ravens

I think moving forward the Dolphins will have all 3 of their QBs on the active roster on game-day. If they are going to be this pass happy with an offensive line that is a work in progress -- it won't be long before we lose 1 or 2 of our QBs for any period of time throughout the course of games.

Newsworthy -

Since a lot of people in here wanted the Fins to draft Kyler Murray, I thought it would be newsworthy to update on his week 1 progress: Entering the 4th quarter against the Lions - His team is down 17-6. His state line is: 9/25 for 70 yards an INT and 4 sacks for a QB rating of 27.9. He also has a run for 6 yards.

So there is that.

K. Murray 29/54 308 2TD's 1Int. Not bad for first game. I didn't think he would have been good pick though, too many other holes to fill. Seems to be more soon, hear reports that some current players want out quickly.

Hopefully it won't be long before he is given a shot at more meaningful reps on game day.

As for the screen pass - classless is a word that seems reserved for the Cheatriots -- but its almost the way the Ravens have approached this game from the start.

Its one thing to go out there and handle yourself like a pro and do your job right - but some of the things they've done -- since early in this game -- has been unnecessary. Its too bad the Dolphins don't have enough of a pulse to do something about it like take out one of their key players -- its what needs to happen in times like these.

Jones should have had more time but maybe they are trading him too? I can see easing Preston in he's still learning and Hurns is a vet possible trade bait too. Grant is on ST so he will always get a little less on base offense.

There has been a lot of talk about how Jones often gets upset when he is not out there on every play - but, I think things have gotten to a point that HE doesn't want to be out there every play. I would say that could be a factor in his snaps/playing time in this game.

But, perspective is important - whether some agree or not -- it was the first game -- we cant make too much out of anything from one game. I don't think this one game is an indicator of any consistent trends to expect. Like I said prior to the game, unless there are significant injuries - I think our inactive list will change from week to week - the same goes with playing time.

The road to 15-1 is on!
