I just do not get how a coach who has made his name by running an offense that turns decent QBs into stars cant get a QB doing the job. In many years defensive minded Nehlen had four or five QBs on the roster,
Looks like Dana's plan to target one QB per class is biting him in the ass.
But, to be fair... it is a shame WVU couldn't recruit and retain QB's after they got Geno. Stewart recruited a couple of studs in Johnson and Brunetti. One of them should have... could have played at WVU last year and/or this year if redshirted. I don't think Johnson is even playing QB now, and Brunetti did nothing after transferring to Ole Miss. Goes to show you how valuable recruiting rankings are. Stewart recruited Athey out of Minnesota and Dana asked Millard to walk-on at WVU after he was named HCIW. Athey ain't playing QB's either...
Dana's first recruiting class had Ford... the QB of the future!
Well if you followed Creat over the last two years the kid has improved technique wise by leaps and bounds, if that will translate to instate starter or impact his freshman year is wait and see...one of these guys step up and this offense is going to click..hoping year two of playing together things gel.
