Media rights split between FOX & ESPN

6 years, FOX for $240M per year, ESPN for $140M per year. Total deal is valued around $2.64 BILLION dollars. The expected payout for just Tier 1 rights is somewhere in the $30-35M per year per school range

I will have to reluctantly agree. The dollars are approaching mind numbing numbers. Instead of giving the AD and coaches a raise so they make a bazillion, pay the players that are actually putting the product on the field.

I used to think the education, medical care, traveling, food, and room were adequate compensation. Now, it is nuts.

Whatever the minimum donation level is, I would like to see that the next raise for the head coach or AD, the money goes to getting rid of the lowest donation level. The best way to keep demand high is to allow the masses CHEAP access. Eventually, and that day is getting closer, the sellout streak will end.

Just think if the amount of money that was paid for football coaches and athletic directors was put into fighting ZIKA. I gaurantee, not one coach will ever cure a disease.

Why did I choose engineering and computer science?
