Whatever dude. Trent Murphy had nine sacks in a reserve role. There is no reason to believe McPhee, at 30, would have 25% more sacks than any other season of his career to get to 10 on a season.

And he had 3.5 as a full-time starter the year prior. With a "sudden" burst in a year he got caught using PED's.

McPhee has averaged more sacks and tackles per game than Murphy.

I said he had 10 sack upside... Holy shit dude. How is that even debatable? That doesn't mean he'll get 10 sacks. It means if he played a full season in a legitimate role - he has the ability to hit that plateau. Hence, the term "upside". I never said you could count on him for that.

Yes...it took Murphy until year 3 to get 9 sacks. McPhee has been in the league for seven years and topped out at 7.5 back with the Ravens. LBs do not have more upside at 30.

Murphy averages .31 sacks per game. Murphy averages 2.38 tackles per game.
McPhee averages .32 sacks per game. McPhee averages 1.9 tackles per game.

My attitude is fine. Don’t come overhyping a player and use false statements to prove your point. Go back to Bear hell.

Yes. He's a stud when healthy. Which was only about a 1/3 of the time in Chicago. Most games even when he was out there, he was dealing with something and relegated to a snap-count.

Yeah, this is not an upgrade, and he's another player with a history of injuries. So again, I gotta say... if the Skins have injury problems, they better not cry about it.

This ^^^^ pretty much is where I'm at with the McPhee signing. It was cool that a couple Bears fans popped over and gave positive opinions on dude and if there's one position a Bears fan should be in the know about its linebacker. Still, Murphy certainly wasn't w/o his warts. His first 2 seasons he had a total of 6 sacks and its hard not to say PEDs didn't play a significant role in his "breakout" 3rd season when he had 9 sacks.
