According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, McLaurin and the Commanders reached an agreement on a three-year, $71 million extension. The contract makes McLaurin one of the top-five highest-paid receivers in the league and there’s not a single Washington fan out there that would argue he doesn’t deserve such recognition

top 5 is definitely market value and i am not sure you can make the case he is a top 5 wr hill kupp adams hopkins diggs evans all are higher ranked

Big difference between him and them is that he has done it with crappy QB play and no real threat opposite of him

An extension adds on to the current contract. It does not replace it. He will get his signing bonus now, but the rest of the terms of the contract add on after this season.

We'll see what kind of production Hill and Adams put up this year with new QB's. Kupp is spoon fed albeit a great WR. Looking at this list and even with adding Johan, Tmac finishes in top 5 in yards and receptions.

His AAV looks like to be 23.66M, #7 on the list. He got less than Brown and Doggs.

14. Terry McLaurin, Washington Commanders ($18.76 million)

Terry McLaurin was the latest star receiver to get paid during the 2022 offseason, securing a reported three-year, $71 million extension. That extension is added on to his 2022 salary of $3.04 million, locking him up through the 2025 season.

With his new contract, McLaurin reportedly will receive a $28 million signing bonus and 76.4% of the new money is guaranteed. After 2022, his average annual value will rise to $23.66 million. Schefter first reported the news and terms.

After playing with eight different starting quarterbacks in his first three seasons, McLaurin will be paired with another new signal-caller in 2022: Carson Wentz. Despite the frequent turnover at quarterback, McLaurin has proven to be one of the league’s top receivers – and now he will be paid as such.

I am a little surprised, I thought they were going to low ball him.

It is a good deal. If Dotson works out it will be time to pay him about the time TMac's contract is up.

Actually, they got him signed less than what Brown got. Great deal for the team.
