The SS like Rodney Harrison appears to be a thing of the past. Teams are not looking for big, strong SS's.
Gregory is actually quite a bit like what teams are looking for at this point. I'm not sure I agree, I would love to have a (younger) Rodney Harrison on this team.

My point, Krafty, is that the position is changing and guys that are rated to be better, might not be an improvement. Gregory, like everybody else on this team, has battled injuries.

I would not be quick to make major changes in the secondary. I really believe we would have been the best secondary in NFL if not for the injuries......

Would have been the best secondary in the NFL without the injuries , what injuries to the sec that were catastrophic. NONE this secondary sucks, what the hell are you watching. Talib yes in the beginning had some good games, but is he worth what he will be asking for, NO Way. This secondary needs an overhaul, it has been terrible for years and still is, but people want to draft offense first round . Yeah OK. Scoring has not been the problem, stopping people has been. But yes, lets keep putting up pinball numbers, except this year, and have no defense to back it up.

This secondary was leading the league in opponents completion pecentage until the injuries started to stack up. I think the linebackers inability to cover underneath caused more problems. In pre-season I stated that our #1's were very good at DB but our #2's were not any better than our 3's and 4's. The #2's have improved a lot but the stats from the learning process remain.

Pats Pa, I really don't care that your glass is always half empty (or maybe empty) I still have my own opinion and I'll stick to that.

southieinnc that is why this is a forum, no one is going to agree with everyone or everything that is said that is ok. People see things different, does it mean one person is wrong and the other is right. NO, We can agree to disagree, that is fine.

Fair enough. You keep watching the struggling team, I'll keep watching the playoff bound, 11-4, team that just crushed the SB champions!

I agree Southie, pass defense is more important than having a big hitter and especially with the way the rules are slanted toward recieivers now. That being said...if Rodney was able to perform like he did in the twilight of his career with the Pats, he'd by my starter on this team. It depends on who that big hitter is IMO.
