How is his shoulder? Is that the only reason he is behind Campbell is due to injury?
Campbell didn't look to good. I'd rather see McCarron get some reps in blowouts other than Campbell.

They are thinking of IR'ing McCarron for the year, although that is mostly for roster positioning and the fact it would give him a chance to fully heal by next year when he might become the backup.

They say he has been throwing a little on the sidelines with a little bit of zip and looking almost back to normal, but they are taking it slow and cautious with him, because they can afford to with Dalton and Campbell on the roster.

He was never like that while at Alabama publicly. But ever since we lost to Oklahoma last year he's been running his mouth with it stuck on stupid.

Just wish he'd shut his damn mouth. I hope for good things to happen to him, but geez just shut up.

He also showed up in the NFL as damaged goods. He hasn't been able to play a single snap (even in the preseason) due to injuries sustained in college. I wonder if he's bitter about anything that happened with the coaching staff.

I would be surprised if he was bitter with Saban. From all reports he and Saban were pretty close. Before he was a starter he'd hang out in Saban's office and stuff. When we beat LSU, he jumped into Saban's arms in celebration.

He's pretty tough and I doubt he would even ask to be taken out of a game for the shoulder injury and would be upset if he was.

I think it's all the spotlight and attention he's gotten going to his head. It seemed like it started a bit when they highlighted his GF against Notre Dame and has just grown. Doing crap like reality shows and all that stuff.

After we lost to Oklahoma it really started, he was blaming the team and stuff. But in the game he made a ton of mistakes himself, so it was pretty off putting.

I'd heard rumors some teammates weren't very fond of him. I guess now we can see why.

I agree. I appreciate everything he did at Bama but you could just see a difference in him throughout his final season, now he's talking about shit that he doesn't really have a clue about. He went from being a quiet, humble guy to "Hey everybody, look at me!". I've lost a lot of respect for him over the last year or so, just shut up and practice what you preach for once.

Probably just upset that nobody cares about him anymore.... Happens to a lot of athletes.

I can't imagine it will help him in the pro game though.... Coaches are paranoid. If they think their marginally talented qb might cause them problems with the press, they'll get rid of him ASAP.

they make a lot out of what these guys say, they are probably just mumbling something about "I want a large fry" at McDonalds and the media twists it up and and comes back to us as "We need to think bigger about our game, we're selling ourselves short, we need to be big fries, not small fries" then the guy says "and a coke" and it comes out "Player says there are too many people in the NFL using cocaine"
Then he turns around to his offensive lineman and says, "how many of them cheeseburgers you want this time?" and the media twists it around to say "Quarterback says his LT eats too many damned cheeseburgers."
