I read somewhere that Phillips was going to resign tomorrow. McCabe should waive his no trade clause. The Panthers are in rebuild mode.

I don't think McCabe is THAT valuable honestly. But maybe that's just me. Rangers still buzzing around the Richards idea, but would need to clear 3.5-4mil to get him, but knowing the rumored cost, they'd have to send that back in players anyway.

It depends on whether they expect Gaborik back. If not they can put him on LTIR.

Knowing Gabby and what we've seen from concussed NHLers this season, I'd put him on LTIR. That said, Richards is in the same boat. I just don't see why you'd trade for damaged goods with a high price tag that may just be a rental.

He signed Malik.

...then again, he probably saw Malik's 15th round shootout potential that other GM's missed.
