Welcome to the weekly Re-Crap for week 4. Each week I will recap the weeks matchups and update the current standings for the masses.
Not much more to say so lets get to it.

DUB 8 – Soggy Bottom Boyz 1 (predicted score: Soggy Bottm Boys 6 – DUB 3)
It was a week of constant sorrow for the Soggy Bottom Boyz hitters as they couldn’t break a .200 average and as a result lost all 5 hitting categories. The pitching was a lot closer than the score reveals as all categories could have gone either way. In the end The Boyz managed to take strikeouts by 4 while DUB took wins by 1, ERA by .09 & WHIP. Saves were tie which gave the Boyz their 7th tie of the season.

Fudpuckers 6 – WolfPack 3 (predicted Score: Wolfpack 5 – Fudpuckers 3)
Well this was a pitching battle and the lines went as predicted. The pack took wins and K’s with a record setting 85, while Fud took ERA & WHIP. The save category was a tie as both teams were punting saves. On the hitting side, the Pack took the weekend off but had built up enough of a lead to hold on to the runs category. The other 4 points went to Fud along with the victory.

WHIP out your FIP 7 – Grand Salami 3 (predicted Score: Whip out your Fip 8 – Grand Salami 2
The Grand One asked for 1 more point to start the week and were granted their wish, but the end result was the same. Salami’s took runs & HRs, but the king of solo home runs lost RBI’s to WHIP along with stolen bases. Batting average was close but in the end WHIP took that one as well. As for pitching the Grand One took saves, but just like many games over the first four weeks, the team that takes saves usually loses the week. That was true here as WHIP took the remaining 4 pitching categories.

Sarnia Tigers 7 – TKOut 3 (predicted score: TKOut 5 – Sarnia Tigers 4)
Like I said above, the team that wins the save category is usually doomed to lose that week. TKO took saves this week, but the tigers clawed their way through the other pitching category. Hitting was a little closers as TKO took runs & RBI’s and nearly took HR’s losing that category to the Tigers by 1 along with batting average & stolen bases.

D Dude’s Dodgers 5 – YellowFuzzy 4 (predicted score: D Dude’s Dodgers 7 – YellowFuzzy 3)
I called for a clean sweep of the pitching categories by Triple D, and if not for a .01 difference in WHIP it would have been. D had to settle for 4 pitching points leaving WHIP for Fuzzy. As for hitting Big D had the average down, but Fuzzy had more to his hits as they took Runs, HR’s & RBI’s. One more stolen Base for Fuzzy could have made the difference, but both teams settled for a tie here which I’m sure was fine with Triple D.

Big League Chew 10 – SportsBoys 0 (predicted Score: Sportsboys 6 – Big League Chew 2)
Big League Chew broke their losing streak in grand style by shutting out the SportsBoys. Strikeouts were close, but that was about it as Big League Chew lived up to their name this week and practically dominated each category to climb out of last place (much to the dismay of The Pack). Good Job

All teams will meet again for a rematch in week 15
