Has anyone noticed that Carlos Gomez has 10 HR's? Also, is everyone trying their best to figure out a way to have Gattis on their team? In a daily line-up league, he and Eric Chavez would make killer bench guys.

Yes I did, for Gattis. It was not enough for me to keep him in this league though, as his playing time will not be regular enough for my liking. The same for Chavez, who I did pick up and am starting. I don't really want to, but with our rosters so large, and our waiver wire so thin ( on currently producing, proven MLB talent ), that he is starting for me.

According to the Los Angeles Angels, Dr, Lewis Yocum, one of the most notable sports medicine practitioners there was, has died.
An orthopedist who followed in the footsteps of Dr. Frank Jobe — the first man to perform Tommy John surgery — Jobe had been the Angels team doctor for many years. In addition, he has performed surgeries and consults for many other teams and players. After Jobe and Dr. James Andrews, Yocum was easily the most commonly-referenced and best known doctor in baseball circles, be it for the surgeries he performed, the second opinions he offered — he was many a fan’s last hope after dire news was reported following a visit to Andrews — or for, sometimes, being involved in a bit of controversy when it came to how best to proceed for a rehabbing pitcher.
Sports medicine has come a long way since the days of trainers telling sore-armed pitchers to rub some dirt on it and get back out there. Guys like Yocum are the reason why.

I have Gattis in my other league. I bailed on Lucroy and rode Gattis til McCann got back, but with little options on the wire he's still my catcher. He's doing more in limited at bats than any other option I could pick up.

That's it. Enough of Brandon Morrow. To replace him, I picked up the best player on the wire that was hitting over .200. :laugh3:

Shhhhh. Rev is going to have a stroke if he finds out about Gomez. Even better is the fact that he is batting 5th tonight, ahead of Lucroy for the first time this season. He has hit in better line-up spots before, but not when everyone has been in the line-up.

My projection for his final line:

.270 85 R, 25 HR, 95 RBI, 35 SB

Not too shabby

But, but, but, he replaced him with the guy who will be the best player in all of baseball. In 2018 that is ( just joshing and guessing at the same time )

I didn't draft him in this league, I only drafted him in Big D's roto league.
And since I'm happily sitting in first place there, I can live with my mistake.:yahoo:

I actually dropped him, picked him back up 9 days later and dropped him again. He's one of those guys that didn't want to play for my team but does well for someone else.

Heh...good comeback. But who is supposed to be the best player in baseball in 2018?

I was about 12 when SI did that "story".................never forget it.

Since I have the same last name it's kind of hard for me to forget.
Sidd is my older brother and Jennie Finch is my cousin. Baseball runs in my family.
