Paxton was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on Wednesday, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
Analysis: The 25-year-old lefty has made five starts since his activation from the DL on Aug. 2, posting a 2-1 record, 1.65 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, and 20:9 K:BB in 27.1 innings. Considering the results, expect him to return to the majors once rosters expand in September.

His next scheduled turn is September 1, so this is a total non-issue. Just a procedural move to get an extra player who they can use for the next 4 games. It is actually a good baseball move.

What I find more disturbing is with all those starts and an ERA of like 2.60 I only have 3 fucking wins..........or is it 4? I stopped looking. At least I closed on a few cats so I'm not completely out of a 6-4 loss.........
