not that I expected anything, but that's probably really bad news for Middlebrooks...

J/K TLance you do a helluva job on this.

Sorry man. I was literally falling asleep as I was typing the other one. Got a late start after watching the World Cup game.

Prospect League Weekly Review

Standings:

1. Milk: 61-42-7
2. Smitty: 59-46-5
3. Driaz: 56-44-10
4. Redseat: 56-45-9
5. JD: 57-48-5
6. Micro: 55-50-5
7. OBX: 51-50-9
8. Molsan: 45-51-14
9. Foot: 44-54-12
10. Brock: 45-60-5
11. Trudem: 43-59-8
12. AZ Sting: 42-65-3

The Prospect League is completely wide open a the mid-season mark. 6th seeded Micro is only 7 games out of first. That automatic bid to the A league will be heavily contested.

Week 11 Recap:

Smitty 8, AZ Sting 2: Smitty rises all the way to 2nd place after the blowout win. He is just 3 games behind Milk. The pack keeps getting closer.

Micro 7, Redseat 3: Redseat had a stroke of bad luck when Liriano got hurt. Instead of merely blowing up his ratios as he has been known to do, Liriano's 3 innings in what should have been a 2 start week left Redseat 1.2 below the innings minimum. The end result is that Micro gains ground on the pack while Redseat falls down to 4th. Had Redseat gotten his innings in, the game would have been 5-5.

OBX 6.5, Foot 3.5: OBX got a much needed win, but was somewhat unlucky that it was not in more decisive fashion. OBX is just 2 games behind the final playoff spot and 9 behind Milk. He remains very much in the hunt.

Brock 6, JD 4: This was a missed opportunity for JD and a much needed win for Brock. Brock rode some hot pitching to get it done this week, and will look to keep it going this week to get back in the hunt. JD, meanwhile, fell down to 5th and missed a chance to make up more ground on Milk.

Molsan 5.5, Trudem 4.5: The hitting cats were very close this week, but Molsan was able to do just enough to earn the narrow victory. He now sits in 8th place, 4.5 games behind 6th place Micro. Meanwhile, Trudem just can't seem to catch a break. He will look to start the second half with a win.

Driaz 5.5, Milk 4.5: Milk has seen his lead fall steadily over the past couple weeks as his offense has been slumping miserably. The pitching is still awesome, but he needs to get more from the bats if he is going to keep the top spot. Driaz moves into 3rd place with a strong performance. Driaz sits just 3.5 games behind Milk in the standings.

Good luck all in week 12!

Why would the Sox call up Cecchini? I really have no clue anymore... maybe Holt will be their full time LF? Assuming they want a sub/platoonish spot for 3B

Desperate times, desperate measures perhaps?

Dunno about that...I thought he would be a pretty good start this week. Funny you picked up Jones, I was waffling back and forth on him this morning and decided to wait and see if Torii would be put on the DL. Still waiting on that. I may have to go with Arcia, a wing and a prayer next week.

I shit the bed on Monday. Meant to pick him up and bench Martin (facing 3 LHP and all road games), which go against his splits. Of course he goes SB crazy! The wheels will come off next week I'm sure. And he dons a 99...don't see that too often.

All Good, you weren't the only one sticking to your guns, turned down all day.
Well I attempted to throw in the towel, but since nobody will let me, nothing left to do but make the playoffs.

Crushed by Wednesday morning again! Jason, Francisco, Holt.. how can I contend with that? Take it easy the rest of the week, Jim.

Just dropping in to say hello to the gang. Now that there is nothing but mid-season baseball to watch I can't wait for training camps to open.

I am now rooting for Brock Holt, simply because of that catch; gotta love a ballplayer who hustles like that. :10:

Who's trading and why wasn't I invited?

We probably should clarify that this is in our keeper league, and I suspect that your invitation got lost in the mail. Wouldn't be surprised if it showed up any day now. ;)

Back to MBBRL: you certainly have a potential Murderers' Row for two-starters next week, don'tcha?

Remember I said potential...

Sammy, I'm a little confused - didn't realize we were in a competition for highest ERA and WHIP. :gaah:

If Stanton ends up realy being hurt, our matchup will tighten up considerably.
