I think there's only one shot to trade Verlander.
You need to find some schmuck Tigers fan who has a history of homerism.
Good luck.

Dear Rev,
I am extremely desperate in the pitching department. I would like to inquire on how much a Justin Verlander would cost me as you never know, he may turn it around.............just like Sheilds.........and Lohse..........and Zimmerman................and well, you get the idea. Anyway, not sure what to offer or what you might want but I am really excited to see any offer you may have.
Signed,
Desperate in Idaho

Rev, I'd gladly make an offer, but considering you want a hitter, I'm SOL
Sorry Treff, I'm covered with pitching, Latos comes off the DL this week. Happy Days:yahoo:

I was looking for a hitter and the one Tigers "Homer" I know doesn't have a spare one, unless I can get him to give me his broken Harper.

Ohh come on, Trout is overrated and Scherzer is awesome, he will come around:rollseyes:.....

I think I would have to drive to your house and slap you if you gave Trout away to anyone like that.
Wait...what's that...My other voice has something to say....:agree:

I've been tempted to make an offer....but my pitching strategy might not work with Verlander... punting W and K...going for ERA, WHIP and SV.
I don't think it's a very sound strategy, but the more 4-5 win weeks I can get, the more middle of the pack I can aspire to. (lofty goal I know)

Looking at trades on CBS, In 1-1 deals, Verlander has been traded for the following hitters the past few days: Matt Kemp, Victor Martinez, Jose Abreu, Jay Bruce, David Ortiz, Joey Votto, Evan Longoria, Josh Hamilton, Justin Upton.
Now I'd be willing to take one of those guys off one of your hands if you own them...Maybe:noidea:?

Most of CBS leagues are points based where Verlander's value is literally 4 times what it is in category leagues.

Sorry to burst your bubble there.

All of you can ignore what Tlance just said, he's been drinking today and has no clue what he's talking about.
I think he's angling to knock out some of the competition to get Verlander all to himself....I see you've got some extra hitters there son.

Kendrys gets 7.6 mil for the rest of this season. Methinks Boras' rep has taken a bit of a hit this year.

I was thinking something in the decent RBI, decent HR and pretty good OBP range...........like a certain Red Sox first baseman? Now, I have to say the most frustrating player on my team YTD has to be Posey but even I know sooner or later he will Bust-er out of his funk (hoping last few games are a sign), Either way, there is no doubt in my mind that if we made a deal whoever you end up with will kick the living shit out of me next week.........and Verlander will suck...............just look at Smyly............

Never thought on June 7 that Emilio Bonifacio would have more HR than JJ Hardy.

I have a few offers out I'm waiting to hear on, but he would be a consideration. Rest assured that whoever I get will more than likely be on the bench vs. you. My lineup is basically set.

Well, if there is a deal to be made you can rest assured that Verlander will be serving up fat ones to your hitters................lol. I can see a definite ass whooping in my future either way!
