Foot's squad:

C- Mauer
1B- C. Davis
2B- Utley
SS- Tulo
3B- Sandoval
CI- Howard
MI- Carpenter
OF- J. Hamilton
OF- Soriano
OF- Heyward
OF- Werth
UTIL- Ortiz
B- Teixara
B- Frazier
B- Jeter
B- Markakis

SP- Hammel
SP- Sabathia
SP- Verlander
SP- Kazmir
RP- Axford
RP- Henderson
P- Haren
P- Jimenez
B- Latos

Still not the worlds greatest when it comes to rating a baseball team but that infield looks about as strong as I've seen! So you must have drafted 12th and took Davis/Tulo? Shame about Hamilton as he was actually looking pretty good.

Not in love with the pitching at all, but I'm in last and he's in first, so he must be doing something right. ;)

C'mon Philabuster, I've got three hours to kill, so make me an offer already! I'm in a trading mood!

You're either deep in thought over it, or you didn't think I'd really be on and respond in 1 minute and have an offer sent 2 min after that :) (slow morning for me so far)

Frieri is in danger of being dropped, (f.y.i.), so if anyone has any remote interest, you'll never know how cheap he is... Reed is not in danger, but I'd really like a trade partner for him.

Looking for SP/OF (who isn't?). Kinsler is still available too, and I'm not against dealing Wright either, as I understand the value with just my closers is not great...

See, here is where my lack of tenure in this wonderful game has me always baffled! I would love to make a play at Kinsler and/or Wright but of course I don't want to overvalue your guys or my guys..........the one trade I made this year just seemed to make sense to me (sorry Paul, didn't know dude was gonna suck so bad he'd lose his job) but I think I have solid (not great) arms, a really good OF and mostly a shitty infield that is harder than hell to upgrade. I mean it seems like Crisp would have some value if not for already being hurt twice (minor injuries), Hunter and even Jackson...............just a little confused! I mean, I sent Jim an offer and now I'm wondering if I was lowballing him (Lacky for either of his 3B eligible guys, but only sent the offer for Rendon)........................anyway, TK, if interested in OF's not named Trout or Bautista send an offer...................

Aw, you can't be worried about lowballing someone in this league. Everyone knows what they're doing, and it's all part of the dance. Lowballing is how a lot of trades start out. As for feeling sorry about Johnson?

Meh. He's a closer. They all suck at some point.

Sam. . I'm always in the same boat. Always hesitant to send out the first offer for fear of lowballing. So many different possible opinions on so many different players. It's not like football where the majority of people agree on the ballpark value of the majority of players.
I know, as Chef mentioned, that shouldn't be a concern, but that doesn't change much for me.
Your not alone in that mindset at all.

And don't feel bad about Jim Johnson... I was kidding myself that he might be ok in that big ballpark. (he still might be haha)

Everyone values players so differently... I try to always be positive in trade responses because I wouldn't think anyone would deliberately try to lowball, and nobody really knows the depths of my man crushes ha so I can't blame them :)

???

Playing in Oakland helps pitchers, with all of that extra foul territory. As such, I don't think the park is a factor in his struggles so far.

thought I made a fair offer and it was dismissed immediately.

I've been so flip-floppy lately, maybe I could re-think it, ... for the life of me, I can't remember who it was you offered.

Yes I should have been more clear :)...
I meant that I was optimistic that Johnson's less-than-stellar stuff would be helped by Oakland's pitching-friendly park.
But.... no such luck. I'm guessing he gets job back sooner than later though.

Let me clarify, I didn't mean that lowballing someone on purpose is acceptable. I meant that if you are afraid to make an offer in this league for that reason, you shouldn't be. Everyone in the league knows what they are doing, so don't let that hinder you.

Gotta go bold! :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:
