Ha! The Boyz are Back, Sammy! :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

No shit..............not only did I lose more games than anybody last year, I lost more games on Thursday than I care to remember too! I think it was Tlance but I had like 10 HR's and a shit load of RBI's coming into Thursday and he made one hell of a comeback and ended up kicking my ass...............the bright side was by Sunday my heart was usually not broken..........ha

It's a Duda, Duda, day!!!!!

Lucas Duda and Ike Davis were supposed to compete for the Mets’ starting first base job during spring training, but both players were injured for most of the Grapefruit League schedule, so we entered the regular season without a resolution. However, the Mets appear ready to make a choice.
According to Andy Martino of the New York Daily News, Duda will start at first base Friday and will get a shot to run away with the job. Davis arguably has the greater long-term upside, but the Mets shopped him for most of the winter, which is perhaps of an indication of the front office’s preference.
This is a good time for the Mets to give Duda an extended look, as the club is expected to face all right-handed starters until at least next weekend in Los Angeles. Josh Satin still figures to get most of the at-bats at first base against southpaws regardless of whether the club eventually settles on Duda or Davis.
Duda, 28, entered today’s action with a .246/.341/.423 career batting line.

Good pickup on Pagan, btw. He's one of the guys I've been waffling on lately.

He'll make it longer than that.............. Let me know when the pot gets up to $300.

Here is the real question:

Who will have the higher BA at the end of April? B.J. Upton or Billy Hamilton?

Going to be close I think.

Well if it ain't Hamilton after a month or so in, they may as well send him down to work on it

speaking of Triple-A... should we make anything about the fact Oscar is playing LF? I just found it weird... is his arm sore too?

I think it's harmless. I just read up that he's going to play all 3 OF positions while in Memphis.
If it's just to get him prepared for whatever may open up in St. Louis then I wouldn't be concerned. If he doesn't move around, then it might mean he's not coming up unless Holliday gets hurt.
I'm guessing it's not a significant issue though. (just a guess)

And I need a (good) starting pitcher...;)
Define good....................lol. After week 1 it seems like all of my starters have been "good" to a point. Well, except for that win part.............lol. Hell, even the guy I have on my bench had a good start and got the win.

Upton posts another 0-4 with 3 Ks, and Hamilton is sitting tonight. At least now he can maybe get a steal as a pinch runner. This one could be close.

Damn that Tori Hunter guy anyway! Figured he would be off to a slow start (like last year) so I figured to sit him next week..........now dude has a great game and put doubt in my mind. Wonder how he would look in a package deal with a "good" pitcher for a decent 3rd baseman?
