Waiver seemed off this week. Joe got everyone I bid on but one.
League Rules:
  • Bid tie-breaker: Lowest ranked team in the standings wins the bid

So Joe was considered lowest ranked team I guess? Might want to tweak that rule next season so one team doesn't scoop up every good player.

I think its fine as is.

If it helps, since I had zero $ to spend, this is how i ranked my waivers to process (more or less):
1) Henry
2) Bowers
3) Lamb
4) Kupp
5) Monty
6) Jennings
7) Pollard
8) London
9) LJax
10) Higgins

Some waivers didnt process because my bids involved Reed to drop. So after i won Lamb, it cancelled the Kupp and Jennings bids since Reed was no longer on my roster.

I set up like 15 bids with various drops.

We talked about this last year.

That is an awful setting.

We have FAAB for a reason.

For 0 dollar bids needs to be a resetting waiver. Any system that doesn’t reset is broken.

But also…

Don’t spend all your money.

Even the ability to make $1 bids makes this problem go away.

Well I just did the thing i hate to do the most as a Commish, make changes in season. I changed the tiebreakers to Rolling. Almost changed it to Random just to screw with everyone

My reasoning for doing it in season was the fact it was discussed last year and should have been done already.

not to put shade... because anyone who makes it this far is doing a good job...

but i was shocked off with your head did not spend any money... he is now the big pocket... lets see if it was strategy that he didnt spend, as he didnt know how much i would bet on Henry, and didnt want me to be the big pocket even after spending on Henry...

without going back and looking at the rosters, if I know our friend north of the border, he has a great starting lineup and didn't want to lose the advantage of being next week's Mr Potter

FYI
After I joined this Guillotine League I started a second one with friends - they absolutely love it!!!

But they think week one is too soon to be cutting teams so they want to wait until week 4 and then cut the two teams with the least amount of cumulative points.

Then in week 5, we'd cut the two lowest scoring teams for that week. And then after that it's the single team eliminations.

I actually kind of love that suggestion.

Doing at least 1 or 2 with friends next year as well, trying to figure out a way to connect FAAB with actual money that goes into the prize pool when used
