another thing for next year to potentially change... the bonuses... i get why we use them in the beginning... but as the season goes, bye weeks matter less and less because every team is so stacked... kind of loses its purpose at a point IMO...

basically what i am saying is if i lose, i may be a bad sport about it...

Not a fan of bonus points either.

I like them.

And my team started at the bottom and has been in the middle recently.

Slight advantage to the teams that have been consistently better.

If we want to say no bonus for championship week, then cool.

But also, 2 weeks in a row the biggest bonus has been sent packing and the biggest bonus is on the chopping block again tonight. Also a huge bonus
Went out early too.

So certainly not insurmountable.

It isn’t about bye weeks so much as some protection from an isolated down week.

The bonus were not about bye weeks. They were about the top teams getting an advantage for being the top teams.

Two years ago we did not have bonus points. They were discussed and added this year to give those teams that started out strong an advantage. To me the main question is how much of an advantage should you give them. I settled on the system we are using on my own, but am willing to listen if people think it is too big or too small.

Hitting high score could be simply be a player or two having a freak week ( and does not mean your team is consistently better, or even better at all) , do it early in the schedule and you get that bonus every week. IDK how that is fair TBH. It's like running a series of 14 races and if you win the first race you get a head start in the other 13 races.

i agree... and i am ok with it to a point... but when you get to the last 5 teams, every team is going to be so stacked, that the bonuses seem counterproductive to me... I mean, you cant use injuries nor byes as an excuse anymore... its you who made the wrong choices...

You get a head start until you blow it.

I don’t really care one way or another about the weekly high score, but the overall scoring bonuses should stay, IMO.

So you say get rid of the HS bonus. That is what I needed to know to try and make the changes that improve the league.

Patriots got me 17 points. Would have advanced even without the HS bonus

Yeah, with the weather last night was always going to be low scoring.

Wish I had chosen to bench Diggs since I had seen the forecast on Sunday.

Oh well!

So…

1 more week with 3 then a 2 week championship?

Is that timeline correct?

Good luck @bksballer89 and @HaroldSeattle going to be a crapshoot!

Looking at rosters look like it would help me if KC has another bad offensive outing. Tlance WR corp is intimidating ( Kupp, Diggs and Jefferson). My best player ( J. Taylor ) is on a bye. Going to be quiet the showdown. For those just lurking here are the rosters:

Going to be a fun 3 weeks!

I just dropped Aaron Jones, Tom Brady and Corradelle Patterson.

Man that feels crazy!
