I've had owners in other ESPN leagues complain about the auto-generated schedules that ESPN spews out.
At first I thought it was just their way of complaining if they lost to to stronger teams.
But in this specific ESPN league, we have 4 divisions of 3 teams.
Yet the schedule was only putting some guys within the division once against each other.

So I went to The Football Guys web site and used their scheduler.
They have varying scheduling options and chose the one where division rivals play 3 times and all other teams play once.

It was a pain to manually edit each week of the ESPN schedule, but now all owners are happy and at peace.
