First to finish, I might as well list my team.

QB - McCown, Mariota - went back to back in the 3rd/4th. Would have taken Alex Smith in the 1st if he made it. I don't know what to expect other than Johnny Clipboard not playing.

RB - Gray, Taliaferro, Damien Williams, Robinson - Gray could easily end up being a monster. Forsett was a workhorse last year, but I think Taliaferro can work his way into production. Williams is a nasty runner, good receiver, but needs a Miller injury for something to happen. Not worried about Ajayi. Khiry also needs injury, but who better to be behind than Ingram and Spiller!

WR - Cruz, Britt, Funchess, Conley, Seantavius Jones - Cruz is a crapshoot boom or bust. Britt has the talent, we'll see how Foles shapes up. I like the two rookies opportunities. Could easily end up being their team's #2. Jones is my wildcard. Wouldn't shock me to see him jump Colston, but at least Toon for the slot.

TE - Amaro - a little surprised he fell this far. I feel fine having no backup here.

DST - Panthers. Good D, good schedule. Too many WR needed in this league to afford a second D...would have liked to though!

K - Folk - solid kicker on a team that has trouble punching it in the end zone.

Very Cool...you would tell us if you see Treff at a game...

I actually very much enjoy live hockey. .but the price of admission to NHL is absurd. .so I stick to the minor league!/semi pro ..have yet to attend a college game, but I hear there's no fighting allowed, so it's doubtful id enjoy it. .;)

Decided to take the backup to Alex Smith instead of searching for a potential bye week replacement. This should allow me to play a QB each week at least except for week 9..

I did that with Geno and Vick last year, Fuzzy. Worked out well enough.

Just hope Stl. Doesn't end up with the 3rd string Davis playing again this year. SUCKED going without a QB second half of last year. .was basically hopeless

@TREFF

Adopted the same strategy for a couple of years in this league. ..... worked out good sometimes, bad in others - backed up Locker one year with his supposed backup (who got hurt in training camp), by week 3 had nothing at the position as they went to the #3 guy. Trying something different this year. .... boom or bust - but this is the one league you can afford to do that in. ....

Lefty's Coma recap -

QBs -RG3, Matt Cassel. This is my boom or bust position and since I've guess wrong more that right in this league so I realistically know what will probably happen. I could have two very good choices or face a vacant position vacant by week 3. Will have to wait and see. Probably should have gone the safer route with Bortles and almost did - but then figured what the heck - if there was ever a league you can afford to gamble - this is it !!

RBs - David Johnson, Woodhead, Ridley, Fred Jackson. Johnson - well, he plays for the Browns as a #3 rd, but early indications are he will be the 3rd down back. If he practices well, could be the starter from time to time. Woodhead - little guy just catches passes and will get touches. Ridley - could emerge as #1 or at worst give Ivory a breather - even at that I think he gets around 100 touches knowing the way they like running the ball. Freddy J. believe he becomes the breather, short yardage, goal-line back.

WRs - Colston, Quick, Bowe, Stevie Johnson. I actually like this bunch. Colston could become a TD machine with Graham gone - also, I think rumors of his demise are a bit over-exaggerated. Quick was #1 in STL before injury - believe he will regain that distinction. Bowe another #1 who is the best the Browns have - bet he gets at least 1 TD this year. Stevie in the slot, where he belongs - good hands, good route runner will see the field quite a bit.

TE - L Donnell. Seemed like the best of the leftovers, had ups and downs last year OBJ will command added coverage so he very well may picks up so added TDs - perhaps he'll be on an 'up' in a week I need him.

DSTs - Ravens, Browns. Had to get my Ravens they've been solid over the years - expect no less this year. Browns - solid unit and lets face it, they do not play Denver at Denver in week 1 - they get the Jets. Also, different bye week.

K - Yet to be named but it doesn't have much bearing on the team outcome.

I feel like you have to do that strategy!!! with 24 QBs taken in suicide there are only 8 available QBs... only 2 owners can hypothetically get 2 starting QBs... And why would you want any one elses backup QB... Logically it makes sense... Trying to remember why I didn't do it last year...LOL...

Works fine IF there is a clear cut backup of some value, some have, others don't. .... In my case, there really isn't one at present. As such, I gambled on Cassel becoming the starter .... may work, may not we'll see. .... it's Coma so I won't lose sleep over it.

I employed this strategy this year but if you think about it- my starter was the 28th QB taken- how good can his back up be? Definately a risk but other options seemed riskier.

Yea, everything in coma feels like a risk... But to own your starting QBs backup seems like a great risk... You should be starting someone in the most important position every week except for one!!!

I also think In coma you MUST have 2 at least 2 bench WRs... that's a strategy I will use, not sure if I will have 2 or 3 bench WRs, but I think bench WRs are more important than bench RBs in COMA, while it is the total opposite in Suicide...

Don't disagree IF the backup in May is the same one in September. ...:suds:
