Looking for a car for daughter. For some reason I'm drawn to 2007 ish Mazda look. I've seen prices on Craigslist for anywhere between 3500-10000. Problem is there doesn't seem to be many for sale. Anyone know the Cons to this car or is it just something u would t buy

I had a 2010 Mazdaspeed 3. Nearly bought a 2008 but the dealer selling it wouldn't be reasonable.

I loved it. The speed 3 was the turbocharged version of a 3 hatchback. A few little things like sportier suspension but basically the same car, and while the design changed in 2010 I believe, the car was really similar, you just don't have to deal with the smiling front.

I enjoyed the hatchback, lots of room for stuff, back seats have the headroom, and they are fun to drive. The engines are good. Loved the clutch on the manuals.

I'd buy another in a heartbeat.

Not sure if this is the car you are talking about, but I owned a Mazda MX-3 in high school. That car was the tits. Had to sell it prior to college.

Pros:
-Reliable engine. 1.8L V6, manual transmission. Kept up with the maintenance, and rarely had any issues. Sprung a radiator leak, which was probably my only major expense with it.
-Very swift & agile handling.
-Capable of decent power. 130hp @6500rpm.
-Good trunk size
-Automatic sunroof

Cons:
-Nightmare to drive in winter conditions.
-Backseat bucket-seats weren't the most space-friendly
-Went through tires rather quickly. But that's more on me. I had a led foot and loved to pop the clutch off the line.
