One of the reasons the Lakers would sign Rondo is due in part to Kobe's lobbying. I think in the long run, signing Rondo this summer would be not as good for the Lakers. If they stick to the rebuild mode with the young guys basis, they'll be better down the road. Rondo is more of the Nash/Dwight craziness and it is just a loss of money for what he is going to bring to the Lakers with any longevity.
