Garth Snow said a few weeks ago he wants to add a defenseman. After he does that Doug Weight will be resigned to put the Islanders at or barely over the cap floor.

Moulson will be an UFA after the season. So it's a good deal for both sides. He could be a nice trade chip at the deadline if he plays well & an extension can't be agreed upon.
