We have a couple young guys coming up in the first two, Enright did a pretty good job against us, but hopefully our guys will be able to use their first look at him to get those timely hits.

We didn't get the timely hits the first time, but our current roster has a batting average against him of .333, Posey was 3-3, and he hasn't faced any of our new guys.

Hudson has only faced Huff and Guillen, Huff is 0-1 against him, but walked twice, and Guillen is 1-2 with a 2 run homer off of him, so he'll probably be in left field on Saturday.

Our roster's numbers against Lopez are as follows:

Torres: 4-10, HR, RBI, 1.100 OPS
Posey: 1-3, RBI, .667 OPS
Huff: .302 BA, 2 HR, 7 RBI's, .873 OPS
Burrell: Has not faced him
Guillen: 4-12, HR, RBI, .917 OPS
Sandoval: 3-8, HR, 5 RBI, 1.333 OPS
Uribe: 7-16, 2 HR, 6 RBI, 1,375
Sanchez: 2-5, .800 OPS

Ross: 1-3, 2B
Rowand: 5-17, 3 2B, 2 RBI's

In other words, this is the game that we should all count on, as our entire lineup has raked against Lopez.

Arizona's batters are hitting .209 against Cain as a whole, with a .659 OPS, with a HR every 31 at-bats, and a run every 11 at-bats, so we CANNOT lose this game, everything points to a victory here.

Every Arizona starter is hitting below .300 against Cain, and all but Drew are hitting under .250 against him.

Arizona has been alot better against Zito, with a combined .290 batting average, and an OPS of .839, so if we can expect a loss in this series, this is the most likely, facing a pitcher most of our guys have never seen, and bad numbers by Zito.

Timmy began a string of several bad games against Arizona, but last time out pitched 8 innings giving up 2, so lets do a win-loss-draw format.

Game 1: Draw
Game 2: Loss
Game 3: Win

Hope for 3-0, expect 2-1, and anything else is unacceptable.

Peace, Gore

I always expect 2-1 vs the bad teams. Sweeps are really hard to pull off.

Good analysis, Gore. I can't help but think of how this post would have erupted into a douchebagged flame war on the ESPN board. Nolan would have proclaimed anything less than a sweep is a complete failure, and that we can't expect one with Timmy pitching since the league has figured him out. Tito would spend 8 posts bashing Cain and how he might win Sunday but has no chance next week in LA b/c he's a loser. Crapzic would remain silent since the team is hitting and he can't rag Sabean for failing to assemble a major league lineup. Inandout would whine about how we "have to sweep" or the season is over (again). And Livin would spend most of his time on the AZ and SD boards making a complete ass of himself.

Man, I dig this board.
