I wouldn't mind that, I like the idea of shoving rutgers/maryland in the leaders together.

its just my opinion but it makes it easy, plus still keeps both divisions balanced based on historic football performance.

The travel for Maryland or Rutgers being in the Legends division would be awful. Trips to Nebraska/Iowa/Minni would be pretty lengthy and I would figure it would be easier to put them in the leaders division. However with all the realignment especially with WVU in the Big 12, everyone has pretty much disregarded geographic and travel issues.

It's a pure money move. They expand the B1G's footprint into the east coast. I read one article that said the expanded footprint could bring in another $200 million a year.

Current Rutgers is a product of Shiano's recruiting.

I'll need to see how Rutgers is doing after his recruits move on (3 yrs) before I'm a believer.

We also need to tie into another BCS bowl like the sec and disney have done, all we got is the rose bowl, I fucking hate the rose bowl. Add as many teams as you want, it still leads to only 1 team winning and getting out to a big time bowl.

The B1G has worked a deal with the Orange Bowl to supplement the Rose.

The Big East loses it's AQ when the 4 team play-off starts.

Well there you have it then, RA just saved me allot of reading up about it. I'm good with it all. 2 schools that are non threat in fooseball, similar to the sec additions, ass to mouth is an anomaly, they're not world beaters as the press thinks just all of the sudden in one week. Rutgers will be back to the deep end before too long just like stanford will when they run out of Harbaughs recruits and D. Maryland has the BB so that's good though at least.

I heard a couple of doormats was missing

Purdue, Indiana, Illinois, and Iowa were all relieved to learn the where-abouts of those doormats have been located in thee Great Lakes region.

At first I thought it was a really dumb move but after thinking about it I think I've come around. Yeah it's tough for MD to lose the Duke "rivalry" but other then that what are they really losing? Money wise it makes sense with what they'll be paid from the big 10 network and we know MD needs the money and they give the Big 10 the Baltimore/DC market like no other school can. Plus up until the last few seasons Maryland has been at least respectable in football and I feel like they'd be bowl eligible this year if they had a real qb. Not saying I'm a fan of it all but I see why both sides wanted to do it. Sad thing is now Syracuse won't be able to beat up on MD in B-Ball on a yearly basis
