I'm willing to bet that they had a hand in this, and will also have a hand in the new hiring. They've been more active than I think a lot of people realize. Brown still acts as the figure head, but Katie and Troy have been running a large portion of the show for quite a few years now.

I think the hire itself will be telling. If it's Hue or Vance Joseph than Mike Brown made the call. If it's an outside the box hire than the Blackburn's more than likely made the call. Brown will be 84 the next time the Bengals play a game so this hire can be a transitional moment for the franchise.
